In reply to: If the weather stays like that as predicted (and we have experienced the weather forecast to be very precise...) I will climb NOTHING this weekend, unless Michele can pray to the weather gods and order sunshine for us, which I really really hope. :? Nothing is impossible! We going in Merano saturday afternoon. You succeed to come with us? This is the place http://www.meranarena.it/

In reply to: In reply to: I'm definitely coming to Meran. I've been waiting to climb on plastic ALL SUMMER. I mean, we can have rocks every day, right! ;-) That's the spirit! How can one get better in climbing when she/he spends the whole time drooling on rock. I mean - common, we all know that it needs a gym to really climb hard. - Daniel The gym was awful... it's ridiculous... Trento has no real climbing gym, only two climbing walls in the gymnasium of a public school, maybe 10 meters high, with maybe 15 routes. Of course the stupid teens were blocking the overhangs, dangling from the third bolt for an hour... And it's open only Tuesday and Thursday, but it seems so many people registered for this winter that they will allow people to only climb one day a week. Forgot to mention that we share the gym with the teenage girl volleyball team. I hate 18year-olds in hot-pants and tank-tops. H.

Why did I move to a small city??? :?

So folks, what's up? Seems Monday was a busy day in Europe. No post for over 24 hours. Sheesh. We went to the quarry as anticipated and it was an awefull climbing day. My brother did most of the leads, so I cranked my way up some harder routes leaving me sore as hell. Still feel my neck complaining about the layback route we did... Still didn't finish my 'project', the route I climbed oh-so-many-times but still haven't achieved the redpoint thingy... but this time I fell with pride since I tried the last move as full dyno and got it on the second try. Not that heroesque if you know the route, but since I have a struggle with my leading fear since the beginning of the year it was a pretty good feeling just to jump... So what was your weekend like? - Daniel

Well, Paolo and I did the mushroom hunting thing; I'm not dead yet so I guess it was a totally unsuccessful weekend for him  We're off to Val di Mello again this weekend, so maybe some better stories next week unless we're rained out... ...Still waiting for embarassing drunken pics from tisar...

In reply to: ...Still waiting for embarassing drunken pics from tisar... Sorry! Since I spent half of the evening in question argueing with my ex-gf who had one of her outbursts of jaleousy... I was pretty much out of focus. Though I will ask my brother about the pics taken while limbo-dancing. Should be embarassing enough  , even I was almost sober compared to the later hours... - Daniel

Hi Folks! Any new epics from Italia or Beligium? Since the weather was sunny but freaking cold, I had to host a long lost friend from Frankfurt and I'm going to visit the first winter training in the gym tonight, I decided to waste some braincells to the night instead of climbing this w/e. At least I got rid of my headache yesterday so I might be able to stand the warmup tonight. Though it's Mo(ur)nday: Have a nice week! - Daniel

Saturday, very nice weather but all people were busy  But I was also destroyed after a hard week of work. Sunday, climbing with some alpine organization near Mt. Viso, well first time in this area for me and I will come back to do some real climbing. Well, the view of Viso was very nice and this mountain will be climbed next summer. Still I did not get a good shoot with the camera on it..... However I give you one here but with Viso around the corner not visible. http://spinphys.org/bracco.jpg

Well now we have discovered some new physical laws, I can climb and take pictures on myself at the same time  No I still have my best helmet, it is red and just say petzl..... Well I like to take pictures, but it is very difficult to take good climbing pictures, since you have to find very good spots.
