In reply to: In reply to: cory, you got it, it has been growing (although very slowly  )! now i also am a proud owner of the BD purple cam - and maybe yellow if i find it somewhere in this sport country... my eyes are dutifully set on comici on the grande's north face and ghedina on tofana :D You should know!!!! btw, did you get tropicana - i glimpsed some pictures of you on the ledge there lately  :?: Nice dude! You can descend the Standard Route on Cime Grande, no? Also, the Ghedina route looks awesome! (Have fun!) Ummm, I finished Tropicana, but my out of shape ass hangdogged the hell out of it. In the interest of full disclosure, I would like it to be known that Cory flashed the first pitch - a very tricky sequence. I now return you to your regularly scheduled Euro-Talk. GO

Hi Tisar, Do You have any experience with Sandstone? Do You know how to make the Kinderkopf knot big as Hex11? Are You Sweatyfinger :D ? I´ll in the Bergell in the mid of August, but the Early Autumn is probably better, isnt so hot and Sandstone Rule is No Chalk. However, im for every fun, what´s Your plan for this Weekend?

As I said, I was there last year. You won't miss the chalk in the long run, the stone eats sweat... I know how tho make the Kinderkopf, but I couldn't possibly think of a situation, you are likely to use it. Check this link, I did a little research on the topic. Problem with Germany is the freaking weather you never know what to expect from :? But sure, September might be a good time to go there. I'm close by, so I'm flexible anyway :D This weekend? Slackline, sound of guitars, severe drunkness, sex, sleep, sex, slackline, soccer, severe drunkness, sex, sleep, sex, sofa, sleep. Too freakin' hot for climbing... :D - Daniel

YOOHOOO!! We spent a nice week in Valle del Orco... well... except for the DAILY thunderstorms. So no really long routes. "Some people" even got to climb part of Fessura della Disperazione  Apart from that we worked on cracks, and practiced rapelling in the rain ;) Everyone else doing good?

Some "other people" decided that they didn't WANT to climb the Fessura on Saturday. :-) Off-widths cause second day soreness. Ouch!!!!

Now, that sounds great! (Though I don't get the point, why we dumb climbers count all-day soreness as a sign of success. Really. Is it kind of a brain defect? Is it some hidden trauma in our childhood? Didn't we get beat up enough when we were young? Who knows... and damn, who wantsto know?) I'm really jealous! I'm so fed up with climbing concrete that I almost quit it completely. A little traversing in the park is all what's left. Just enough not to get totally outa shape. And the slackline for sure :D And folks, I swear, you never had such a weird soreness  Some totally random and former unknown parts of my body scream hell right now. I bet there weren't muscles before I started and those just grew to hurt me! :? But most of the time I manage to walk that damn line in full length now, and in 2 outa 10 attempts I don't fall of like an electroshocked washrag when I try to turn around. Call me an artiste :D Some more nice climbing for you! Enjoy the season! - Daniel

Off to the next year and another 1500 posts, 100 pages, 2 official and countless inofficial gatherings we go... :D - Daniel

In reply to: Hey Tisar- You have Highway almost all the way from Berlin, You can be here fast. Unfortunatly they don't allow me to use the highway with my high speed dutch bike, which is the closest I get to having a car. It's train or plane all the way, but still it should be easy to get there.
In reply to: You can buy some gips Dwarfs as souvenir- they are watching whole road from Cheb to KV  (or get BlackDiamond ATC-XP for some 21,60 Euro ) Now, I do own an ATC, but I still might jump off at Hudy's... been there before and the harnesses are pretty good for the price! For the Gartenzwerg (gips dwarf, garden gnome)... I had one, but he obviously didn't like it at my home  http://wdr.de/...gartenzwerg_400h.jpg - Daniel
