Hey Conrad My roomate and I are definitely interested. If you can get me a pair of shoes in 11.5 (one size down from my street shoes, is this good, or should I go smaller or larger? This is my madrock size). My roomate could use a pair of 9s, also one size down from his street shoe. If possible could we ship them together? I PM'd you, looking forward to hearing from you to maybe get some shoes. Will

Hey Conrad and Jenny, I got your e-mail and will return it asap. As for your other concern about climbing oudoors, if we get some mild days I am planning some trips to a crag pretty close to my home, but I did read one of your earlier posts ( but we need the feedback for the outdoor testing.maybe need your gym club help in this testing(this what i am thinking),to make a professional testing report . ) and I will also be doing some indoor climbing as well. Thank you very much for the response. I will e-mailing you two soon :D

Summary: 1. He makes what sound to be dynamite rock shoes with his own hands, while running what sounds to be a small, grassroots outfit. 2. He distributes these shoes, free of charge, to regular Janes and Joes like us. 3. He comes across as outrageously sweet and endearing via his posts. 4. He doesn't want to be paid back for his shipping costs; 'please send money to the ASCA'. Conrad, allow me to ask the one question on all the ladies' minds right now: are you married? Conrad, I think we all feel your warm heart too, friend. I wish you all the best in your endeavor!! FM Tech '05, the empire begins!!

Conrad, I live in the northeast US (massachusetts) and I climb outdoors year round. if you're still interested in getting feedback on your shoes, I can certainly eval them in cold temps, and will be happy to write a detailed report on their performance, even comparing them to the shoes/brands I currently use (I have two other pairs). Cold temps don't chase everyone indoors ;-) PM or email me from my profile.

Conrad, I have been climbing for ten years, I work at a climbing store with one of the largest selections of climbing shoes in the USA, and I am also a rock climbing guide at the New River Gorge, a top climber destination. I would love to try a pair of your shoes and write a review. I'm not sure on the procedure. I will email Jenny with my size and shipping information, but do I donate my shipping cost directly to http://www.safeclimbing.org/help.htm or do I send you something? If I donate shipping money, how do I confirm that with you? Thanks and good luck, Karen

Conrad: I have just sent you an email to conrad@fortunateman.com. I am interested in testing your shoes if you are still sending them out. I think it's great that you're getting real every-day climbers to test your equipment. Let me know if you're still getting people to test for you. Thanks, Ian Miller

Conrad, I just wanted to say that it's pretty cool of how trusting you are of people that you have never met before. I have enough shoes to last me a while and as of late I don't get out climbing much anymore because of school, but if I had the opportunity to climb more I would def. be interested in trying out a pair of your shoes. The next time I need to buy some shoes, however, i'll definetly consider buying some of yours. Goodluck with the business and thanks for getting people to donate to the access fund! Brad

How have the sizes compared to other brands/manufacturers and street shoe sizes? I wear a 10 1/2 or 11 in a street shoe, what size should I get for FMTech's? Anybody have a comparison?

I also have received a pair of FMTech shoes. I was lucky enough to receive a pair directly from Conrad. He is as nice as his posts sound. I have tested his shoes and they turned out to be far better than I expected. I now wear his shoes all the time. I am looking forward to getting a second pair of the A2015-05. As for sizing I wear a size 7 1/2US Anasazi lace ups. The FMTechs I wear a size 7US so they do fit a little smaller. I find the last much more agreeable to my foot shape and the heel cup is more form fitting than 5.10 shoes which I find quite bulbous. The rubber is good and sticky. Disclaimer I do not work for FMTech in any way shape or form. I have only met Conrad once in Shanghai. When he handed me my shoes. Congrats Conrad on producing a really decent rock shoe. Joe
