the best way to find the climbing area is to simply look for the old barn...before u get there you will go over a grate bridge and there will be a hard left on the abandoned road. Make a right here and follow the trail up around the far side of the barn and hug the trail along the hill. DO NOT GO TO THE BOTTOM OF THE HILL (this is the off limits area). Sorry if any of this was a repost. Oh, and you can count on me being there after my classes.

Thanks for being our delegate to the town of Birdsboro.
For all of you who have not climbed here, please do not let the banter (I mean that kindly) between Anne and Mitch lead you to believe this is a tough place to find. It is however, a good walk from the parking area to the climb. Slightly less than a mile actually.
Are we going to meet somewhere Fri. night?

Hi All!!
I'm new to the group and just wanted to introduce myself. My name is Michael and I live in Glen Rock, PA. I've been climbing on and off for about five years and have recently gotten back into the sport in a big way! I have most of my own gear and do mostly top-rope stuff right now. I led a couple easy routes a couple years ago but right now am trying to get my lazy butt back in shape! I rsvp'ed for the Birdsboro trip and am looking forward to meeting everyone! I climb mostly at Rock State Park and Woodstock Rocks in MD, but will be checking out Chickies in the near future. Nice to meet everyone and, I gotta say, this web page rocks! Oh yeah, I'm married with two weimaraners and twin daughters on the way in January!! Cya all later!

we gave you YOUR directions...everyone else lives here...they can find reading on a map then birdsboro...422 to South 82 (Furnace St.) DO NOT FOLLOW DETOUR SIGNS!!!! Go to the end of Furnace St. and park in Hay Creek Park; however, there are NO SIGNS that says it is 'Hay Creek Park', You'll know when you are there. Park and follow the arrows!!! See you at the rock!!

as for driving arrangements, I am pretty flexible. I may be bringing my best friend with me, but other than that I can drive and fit 2 more comfortably with gear. anywho, just let me know what ya think.

I know it's early yet, but are most people planning to park their butts in the public campground? It would be cool if we were all in a similar area there....perhaps we should add that category to the front page, that is, where people think they'll be staying? hey...i climbed with chris1313 and his wife lynn (underclinga) this evening, we all got to run up a couple climbs...oh oh oh...i gotta add him to the rc.member thread mitch started...cause we were tied together!! hehe..it was fun but was too short of an evening...gosh seems like the days get shorter and shorter
randy: i got a sweet note from number7...whooooot...he is joining us!!!!!!
