Yeah, this'd be a first.
I'm not sure if I said in my first post, but I'm just thinking about getting something done right now.
A friend told me that if I wanted to get ink done then I should get the design done up and put it somewhere I'll see it every day. If I still like the design and want to get it inked after 3 months then I should go for it.
I'm in no rush to get it done so I'm going to do that.

that's a good idea to hang it up and think about it. i have a picture of my future backpiece on my fridge that i drool over daily. kind of helps to get you psyched and ready for the pain. I have nine tats myself and can understand the need to think over making this kind of commitment....especially when the tattoo has deep meaning to you. i think the text you have chosen would make for a super sweet piece down your spine. good luck on gettin your first inking and watch out it is highly addictive. i believe tatoos are a grand way to set ourselves apart from one another.
i feel that you will do it....probably when you need a change in your life. tattoos are great therapy during times of personal growth.

well maybe it's just me, but i have known that i wanted tattoos since i was very young. i had my 1st done not long after i turned 18 and was back for my second about 2 months later. it has been about 9 years since then and i have 9 and plan on sleeveing both my arms and doing my whole back.
as far as the addiction...it has been a way for me to express myself and set myself apart. i truly feel that they are almost like a suit of armor that protect me...they also have special symbolism for me on a personal and spiritual level. i have selected and designed all my own tattoos with the help of the artist to identify with me. i don't know why they are addictive for everyone else but for me...i look at myself think they make me more beautiful and just want to add more...the only thing keeping me from doing that is money!!!!
so if anyone wants to donate to a tattoo fund for me let me know and i will send you the address to forward pennies, nickles, dollars checks, money orders, travelers check or any other type of currency.
