Some Sportiva cheepies. Im' not sure the model. I think they were discontinued or something at MEC they were $20. I don't think they are actaula approach shoes even. The rubber on them isn't actual climbing rubber. I was thinking of getting these. I don't know if there would be much for you to do there. I guess the climbing is kinda weird. A lot of compression between holds I've heard. I've not been there myself yet. It was always on the list but time constraints and weather..

Huh? I guessI should check the weather and see if Sat is going to be good or not to get out. If so I don't think I'll bother with the gym. Are you stuck at work from now on till 5pm, or are there any days coming up where you can get off a little early and head to the glen? Regardless you should come over and climb on the home wall.
I know I'm working on Sunday, but maybe I'll be able to swing another half day at work and get out Sunday afternoon again.

I've got those. They get REALLY hot in the summer. REALLY HOT. Although they climb ok, i wouldn't buy them again.
Thanks for the info.
The Strykers had a good review as a good approach and wall shoe. I'm looking to do more aiding this season, so I'll need something solid for that. Not sure how the Cirques would stand up to it, probably not too bad, but I'll have to ask around.

I have a pair of Bandits and the pre-Pontas velcros I forget the name of. Evolve were the first shoe to feel pretty good out of the box for me. I've always had good luck with 5.10. I think the mocs are pretty hard to beat price/performance-wise, which is why I've stuck with them. They are a good all-arounder. They are not the greatest for precise edging, granted, but work pretty good on most stuff.
I'm still curious about Evolve, though. Acopa, as well. Did your Pontas-equivilants stretch much?

I tried two models of Evolve recently, wasn't too impressed. Maybe I didn't give them a chance... I have madrocks. I liked them. Wore out the toes in font. I need to get new shoes Resole!
