Fair enough. it is not THE WORST guidebook I have ever used. I've gone through many a photocopy rinky dink guidebook that was a far cry worse.

But the Thompson guide is expensive, bulky, pretty illogical, limited, and takes itself pretty darn seriously. So its a pretty bad bet.

For the record, I also bought the guide when there were not many other options. I would not do so again.

Anyone know when the Wolverine Guide comes out?

Cater's guide is pretty good.
And Thompsons rainy day umbrella's are cool.

But I'm a glass half full kind of a guy.

I agree. Just stay at Roger's and ask him where to go.

You are mean.

LOL, I remember how I detected a distinct smirk on the face of the first person who told me to climb that route, so I stayed away from it for a while. When I finally got on it, it was no big deal.

Mainly coz he'll tell you where the crowds are headed on a given day, so you can go elsewhere.

Bubba city for sure. Ms. Fields Follies is like 5.8 or 5.9 and is 100 feet with a nice roof at 85 feet or so. a classic for sure. In the 5.10 range I would say The Decameron is one of the best routes at Sandstonia.

Oi, yeeeeeah. Just don't blow the second clip on the traverse section with two pulls of slack. Crazy

+1 on Mrs Fields Follies. Did that over the weekend. Classic, definitely not to be missed.
