In other news, the Polish guy I climbed with in September sent me a Facebook chat the other night (I know ) and was giving me a hard time about not climbing with all the rock out here.

The plans for birthdays and what knot being in a state of flux, my plans for hitting JT with Tank Gurl was everything from Sat day trip to fri-sun. As everyone else at home was down w/ the flu, Juice Box Boy and I were free Fri-sun, sew thats what we did. Noa me being Donny, the travel cannot be straight forward. Fri dawned cold a wet, drying out as it progressed. But when it came time to hit the road, the rain came back w/ a vengence. The drive out kept getting wetter and wetter. By the time we hit the summit going over into the desert, the rain was wet snow. 2 hours of traffic and rain is a rough start. But worst case we'll sleep in the back of the sub. However, as hoped as we made it further east it dried out, and was clear by the time we got to HVCG. JBB was impressed with th e number of stars, new moon. TG had a MGD ready for me as we pulled up. So all was good again. Settled in for a cold cold nights sleep. Sat we jumped on a couple of easy climbs on the Blob, The Bong (aka the bomb to JBB ;o ) and A Walk on the Beach. Both 5.4 . Maybe its just me, but the JT ratings just seem to be getting harder and harder. Anyrate, I was giving TG a belay on A Walk, and someone nearby starts all talking trash. I suggested he might quite down untill he got on the rock. But it didn't seem to help. JBB did good gettting up a wide chim stem to start the climb, but not very far up the face climb. But I don't think he got it when I explained this is why he shouldn't talk too much trash. :o Phunny how when he's unropped he's all over the place, walking along the sides of cliffs, up slippery slopes, but stalls out when on the rope. Sun, JBB wanted to go exploring just the two of us around the campground instead of climbing. Awl and awl a very good, but dang kold weakend.

But when the sun came around it helped a good deal. Now as far as trucks exploding on the 91. I've had quite enough of that thank you very much.
