Tell me about it. It will be fun, the New will be wet this weekend, and I could not justify driving down there by myself for a fourth time in a row, but it is still lame that nobody wants to go there, ever. Snupe just wants his homogenized jughauls, Lena thinks the New is too reachy, Dribble quit climbing, Trashie is getting durken in Jersey... it's sad, really.

Not to turn this into the rrrSoapbox, but this is awesome:

I did this route not to long ago. Old Richard Harrison 5.8R.

Some dude just commented and said the crux felt English 6a... I had to look that up. 5.11c! LOL.

THe sad thing is he's probably right. I said the move 'was at least .10d' but hell, it could have been .11c. Nails hard on a lassoed knob.

Someone sounds bitter! Maybe you should quit climbing and take up bass fishing with banz. Fishing rods don't take up too much room in your dignity closet, if you decide to give it up later, too.

Besides, it is not that I don't want to go to the New, it is that I have a project elsewhere, and I am more siked on sending it than I am on getting on random stuff. And really, if you count my weekends, I spent more weekends at the Gnu than at the Red so far this year (will be even after this weekend).

Gud, rainy, cold times at the Red River Gorge. Met up with Snupe and the Asiant. Drank beers, ate good food, watched an awesome movie about some Crocodile in Africa that was racist and terrible. Did get a bit annoyed at the line-up on Mercy the Huff this afternoon, but it was still fun.

Shaun was on fricking fire this weekend, sent his first one three of the season yesterday, then got his first 13b evar today. He had an interesting tactic of not really siege prodging anything this fall, but just building a pyramid with each climbing trip; last month he was just doing volumes of 12-'s, the gradually made it up to 12c last week, and then exploded this time. May have to try it next spring, instead of jumping right into siege prodging. Still, had a pretty good trip, got two twelves plus in two goes apiece. Will be psyched to get back to the Gnu next weekend.

My rain jacket is still dripping from the weekend -- did you need to add more?!

Other than the Gustaf the Crocodile movie, we seem to had completely different weekends. Mine was mostly miserable. Darn it, I really need to find someone to hang my draws for me on a regular basis.

I hung the draws on Mercy the Huff, but it was mostly for Shaun. Is this like training for Everest?

You guys stay at the Manderson cabin? I was totally bummed the weekend I left that I forgot my coffee there (I think) so I hope someone found it and enjoyed it!

Hmm, I think that I left my kawfee there, too, this past weekend. Probably for the best, because last month, we ran out of coffee there, and had to scavenge some of Janelle's that was in the cupboard.
