Did some vertical warmups that hurt the foot pretty bad, to the point that I could not even put on climbing boots by midday. Ugh. Then I surprised myself by going and firing drivel's ex-flame Apollo first go with no left foot whatsoever. Ran up The Pod, which is right next door, did it with one hang. So yeah, steep stuff gooooood. Next day, went to a crag called Area 51 that had a short approach. There was another one three there (called Crossing the Line) that has reaffirmed my faith in the American manufacturing sector. Seriously, it was more artificial than high fructose corn syrup, glued-on holds all through the crux. Climbed really well though. My last go of the day I did an almost send. At the third bolt, not the crux, there is a weird move where if you blow it, your left foot smashes into the wall, so I was skeerred of it. I did the move, almost failed, and grabbed the draw really quick to stop the fall. Then managed to get myself back together and took the rig to the top. So yeah, no zend, but felt really good about it. Hard vertical may still be another six months away, but the thuggery is doing rad! End of spray, safe to remove rain gear. I prefer the nomenclature "sometime lover." Apollo and I parted on good terms. He says I can come visit him whenever I like. How does that coincide with the term "casual fuckbuddy"? More emotional attachment, perhaps? They are very much emotionally attached; there was way too much buildup before the send for it to be casual. For me, Apollo is that ex-gf whom I know is always now a reliable booty call... Pretty sure Apollo is a guy. And obviously bisexual. Apollo transcends labels, maaaan. Though maybe my fragile sense of "totallynotgay" masculinity would feel better about calling it Artemis Reed. Or Athena Reed. I am so confused with your gender identity. Can a guy who married a gay dude become totally-not-gay again? I have never heard of gay guys turning straight, only of straight guys turning gay or bi. turn this, turn that, turn to a NEW PAGE.

"Fuck buddy," in practice, seems mostly to connote that the person who used that term intends to treat you like shit.

Apollo is bi... but so is camhat. Married to me, a gay boy, for so long, he's been kinda wishing for some lady-love, lately. Athena Reed, definitely. Also, if Apollo topped out on a spire, would it be Apollo Reed's Pinnacle? APOLLO IS A BOY. "The Beckoning" is a girl. ect. The Beckoning is definitely a girl. A girl who has not given her consent to me, yet. no means yes! Yes means offwidths! Fist it.

I am light, but I am weak. I was pretty much too depressed all winter to do much of anything. Slowly getting back into it, but it's hard.

He prefers the term "pan-sexual," so as not to be transphobic or reinforce the binary. He was a Greek of yore

didn't climb last weke end because of werk and my dad being in town. won't be climbing this weke end because I'll be in paso robles. my cams will be taking a weke and a half long trip to the creke without me, so on the plus side I'll have to sport climb for two following weke ends.

Well, this place is dead, so I thought I'd rap at y'all a bit. Winter is finally over in Hellhio, and a bunch of cool shit is moving forward, except for the jorb search. Yesterday fricking wrecked me. Got up at 5am to do a 32 mile ride through pre-dawn C-bus, and it was really cool. Then spent the rest of the day on my knees laying tile in the catpee basement's crackwhore bathroom, which we need to finish before we can sell the place. Looks really good, and tiling is kind of fun. By evening I was sore all over, gimpfoot was all swollen up. But went to the gym anyway. Felt strong, but the humidity had my skin hurting long before my muscles gave out. I think tonight team clamhat is going to sneak nalgeritas into a Sonny Trotter slideshow at OSU, should be fun. Not climbing this weekend, but tomorrow some jazz musicians fiernds of drivel are crashing and playing a dance, and they might even let me sit in on a few songs, provided I can put down the mandolin and pull my jazz guitar out of the back of the shame closet. that is awl.

Nathan is driving up to Owen Sound this weekend. It'll be a nice change, give me a chance maybe to do some things like try to buy chairs forthe new litle kitchen Table he's made me (please note: he wonders if he should have just worked some more overtime and just bought me a table instead). In the past 5 days: Monday - 10km run Tuesday - 30km bike ride Wednesday - climbing at someone's home wall Thursday - 10km run. Tonight I hope to do a climbing specific workout and tomorrow I'll be getting up at 6:45 to do a 15km run. There has been some nice, warm days here, but they are sporatic. This weekend looks gross, but I have a bunch of movies on my computer so we can just chill out at my apartment.

Also: you may have noticed I've been doing a sick amount of cardio lately. Well it turns out I don't know how to feed myself. Talkig with a few people (including one of the owners of the running store, who also happens to be a nutritionalist) I need to mix up my diet. Plan is to try to drink smooties a few mornings a week now. I've been getting home from running at 7pm or so and then having dinner, so I want to shift my eating times to try to have a big meal at 3:30-4pm and just a snack after running. We'll see how that goes. there were a few other things too, need something for refuel on the longer runs, need more complex carbs on Friday night before long runs, need more fiber to keep me full. I'm not one for complex diet stuff, but I think I need to takethis step if I'm ever going to get sick skinny.

Yeah, the last few months I've been trying to really limit the amount of all carbs (no bread tawk!), and mostly eat tons of veggies, nuts, egg whites, and meats. The rare times I do eat carbs, I try to make them complex, non-grain types (popcorn, potatoes). Still, I don't know if my weight loss was due to this diet, or to my leg atrophing. I am probably going to amp up the carbs as I start cycling more. Eating tons of food while cycling is pretty key.

Feel like coming here and doing some tiling, if it is so much fun? I'll forgive you the chicken pies, and maybe even pay you. You are getting soft! Skipping such a good weather weekend... pretty much all gerks would be predominantly doing stuff other than climbering in the near future.
