What ever happened to those shoes you bake in the oven? Wasabi or something?

Dude, I know it can be tough to sort through the BS on this site, but really it has already been said plenty in this thread. If you are a beginner, it does not matter what shoes you get. Get something that fits well and go from there. Since most beginners lack good footwork, you will likely burn through your shoes faster than others. So, if it were me, I'd get something a little cheaper for my first pair. There isn't a single pair of shoes out there that will help your performance at this stage in your climbing. Expensive or specialized shoes might help at a higher difficulty level, but they will not make the difference in your climbing now (and maybe not ever). Everybody has had their ass kicked by somebody wearing MadRocks, and everybody has also seen plenty of gumbies in Solutions that couldn't climb dick. Don't worry too much about it and just get some nice-fitting shoes.
