Actually, somewhat yes. My background is 50% German, 25% Irish, 25% French Canadian.
I was born in Welland Ontario, it has a large French Community. I was raised in an English peaking home, and can barely speak French any longer. I am simply Canadian, but I have a deep respect for all cultures and humans alike.
I am not trying to cause an arguement, nor do I dislike you in anyway. I don't know anything about you and therefore I would not judge you.
I am simply saying I didn't appreciate the way this post started, I consider it to be rude.

Happy climbing to you, and all the best.

I lived in France for years so I figure you may have some French in you for jumping on me so fast

I am still interested on your GF and I promise to be nice to her

You're thinking about a "phoque", which means Seal, not necessarily a baby... I said "fuck"

Kinda sad when a foreign chick has a better grip on her second language than you do on your first.

Angst- not so much... My bitterness, sarcasm and generally aggressive behavior isn't exactly rooted in personal insecurity. It's more that my sense of humor is on the dark/biting/shap end of the spectrum, combine that with a natural predisposition to being insanely bored, and you get me lurking forums like this, trying to piss you off.

French is my second language, actually, not even, I grew up in an English speaking home. The only French I learned was because from grade 1 to 8 is was a mandatory class.

Oh, and you won't piss me off that easily. I was a dealer in casinos for 15 years. I took more than $25 from people every 15 seconds and I never gave them anything in return. It was my job to steal their money right under their noses and take all the verbal abuse that dished out.
I have been screamed at, yelled at, called every name in every language. I have some pretty tough skin. Besides, I like having a happy life, so I just choose not to let anyone make me unhappy. I mean, if someone has no bearing on my life, does it really matter what they say, or what they think of me.

Now, if you were at the belay end of my rope, then it would be a different story :) I would be extra cautious to never upset you....

Ah, I see now, you are accusing me of having poor grammar skills. Actually, in college English was a huge part of my field and my marks were very high in that area, and physics as well. I am just making a lot of typos and what not because I recently got this new laptop table, and I am laying down.

Wow, I must say, I am not very impressed. You must still be tired if that was the best insult you could come up with this morning. I'll let you have a mulligan, but go have some coffee and get your mind working first. Wink

Explain how misuse of a word is a typo

Explain how misuse of a word is a typo

Well first you would have to point me to the misused word, as I don't proof read my posts. My mind races a little faster than I can type, so in some instances I begin to type something, then decide to change it mid thought, and miss a word here or there.
Regardless, if I have been posting steadily for the past three days, and you find one or two misplaced words, then I am doing quite well. It's really a small percentage.
I applaud you though, for having never made any errors in your posts. Oh, wait....

Anyway... back to the point.

Toughen up. Sometimes jokes about race/culture/language are funny because they're true. I used to live downtown Toronto, near Chinatown so I find this post to be hilarious.

I'm sure your girlfriend is a really nice girl, and bearbreeder would love to let her "belay" him any day. But chances are she's a Canadian, born and raised here (and I may be wrong).

I'm a short, chubby foreigner. I get shit from Americans because they love to joke at the Canadian and the French. In Quebec I get teased because I have a "snob" accent. Because I lived with 4 Quebecers for 4 years, I've taken on the Quebecois accent, and when I go to France I get called a "Paysanne" (redneck). I come from a long line of Jews from Northern Africa, but I'm the only Christian in the family (not fanatically so). I'm also a single mother of a disabled child.

So don't get butthurt on behalf of someone else when a person makes a joke. I laugh at my life, my family, my mix of cultures, and I definitely laugh at my mother's inability to pronounce "th" - "Dat is soo funny, I tought you said da ting goes in your mouse"

And yes, China does produce a lot of cheap shit thanks to low manufacturing costs and lower quality standards.

No, she is FOB, well at least she was 3 yrs ago when she got here. And she is very self concscious about her accent.
I usually don't care about racial jokes, but lately the bad chinese jokes have been getting to her, and therefore getting to me.
Like I said, I am Irish, French and German. Do you know how confused that makes me???
I have a deep desire to go out and conquer small countries, only to be followed by a deep desire to separate and get drunk.

I am interested in your son's disability, I understand you probably don't want to post it on a public forum, but you can PM me. I spent a lot of time in my high school and college years volunteering with physically and mentally disabled children and teens. I even took many of them rock climbing. My mother was a special needs and beahvoiral specialist for the local public school board for many years before retiring 5 years ago.

And yes... I am aware of my spelling and grammar errors in this post! Tongue

P.S. You said you are short and pudgy???
Well, using the tank in the background for scale, I will guess you to be 5'3" or 5'4" in height. And your frame seems fairly average to me.
I am 6'3" and the shortest person in my family, so yes, to us you are short, but since I have been dating nothing but Asians for the past 10 years, I would not consider you short at all. Smile
