OK from what I've seen, I think Ambers gorgeous, I think Maculated's fit (she reminds me of a girl at college), (correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't Hillary traddie?), and as on the IOM there is only trad (apart from one closed gym), all the climbing girls I've met (and who are therefore traddies), I thought were F.A.F. There is even one girl I know who's 30, but until she told me I thought she was a gorgeous 25 yr old.
So there you are Traddies aren't ugly.

in fact ... after the relo is sorted out, i'll have to find a grilling mentor and someone to help me fix up the weber that i rescued a couple of years back. free beer to those who teach me to grill and critique the aid systems. extra beer for those who volunteer to climb with me on crummy sandstone or in the Black. weee!

Why are you so fascinated with aid climbing? Just climb trad real slow and hang on every piece hahahahahha.
YOu should come to the south where everyone knows how to grill and the weather is good for climbing about 10 months out of the year.
Besides the south could use ANOTHER trad climbing girl to go with the OTHER THREE LOL.
I have no thoughts on the original question, except that I sure do not want to meet the woman that made that second comment.

Anyway, I just got back from a week and a half road trip. Literally lived in the dirt, eating wheat thins that I'd dropped in the sand without even dusting them off, eschewing shelter, soap and hairbrushes and doing all that other great hip-2-B-square dirty girl stuff we like to romanticize. I led sport, I led trad, but hell if I know what I looked like during any of it. I didn't have a mirror, and I broke my glasses the first day (though I did attempt to duct tape them together).
But my guess is I looked like the same Hillary whether I was plugging cams or clipping bolts. My maze of tank top sunburn outlines, knuckle gobies, and festering socks not only transcend sport-v-trad, but my crag outings as a whole 8) I just always look, and sometimes smell, like somebody who climbs and plays way more than she studies or works- and however that's related to sport-v-trad, prissiness, or beauty, is really just a silly detail.
Although, to cut the locquacious bit, I am an average-looking girl (*shrug* oh well) who climbs both styles and can't really properly guess why the extreme dog-to-hottie ratio is so lopsided...

I have a feeling you'd concentrate just fiine on a 5.10 trad FA (5.9+ if you are Faber). Trad is adventure climbing, aid is tedious climbing hehehe.
While you are freezing yer butt off in CO this winter, us folks in the south will be climbing.
I think you just want to get closer to BJ. Yeah, that's it. I can hear it now, "You can't climb Cracks and I can.", and, "If you were a real man, you'd take me aid climbing ."
Back to the original post though, I know this girl, a gym/sport climber, who takes a small suitcase full of cosmetics and lighted makup mirror climbing. She spends an hour puting on makeup to go climbing every morning of the trip. I'm not making this up.

You have no idea how much I am doing to increase the number of trad climbing hotties in the South. In my opinion, this is a bigger issue than any crag getting closed. I have personally converted 3 hotties from sport climbing and bouldering to trad climbing.
The only problem is, as soon as they start climbing trad, they move out west!!! WTF!?!
Oh well, it's fun turning them anyway....ahahhhaha

Most of the female climbers I know that climb trad are not ugly. Just watch one go up the rock. Gives "poetry in motion" a new meaning. They are graceful and fluid, truly beautiful.

hahah, touche. though, who wouldnt want to live near faber .. he grills and always has good beer in the fridge. though, i doubt that he'll ever take me aiding. i'll just aid the 12- cracks that he swears are really only 5.7 .. hahaha.
