That guy is clearly not a real boulderer. 1) He's wearing a shirt. 2) No jeans. 3) No Prana beanie. Hahahahahahaha. Curt

Signature says it all... And Curt's right, real boulderers nipples can stand subzero gusts, but their ears are very sensitive to chilly summer breezes.

nah, prana doesn't have the 'homoerotic undertones' (to quote the wall street journal) that abercrombie does. although i must admit their pants are getting a bit less durable than they used to be. i believe the prevailing look for bouldering is decidedly minimalist: as little clothing as possible, whenever possible.

I always wear my crashpad when I'm out bouldering. I mean, that's why its got the straps on it, right? You wouldn't believe how many people just leave their protection on the ground :?

I love seeing guys boulder shirtless, nothing is more satisfying than hearing that kigh pitch whine they make when they slip and their nipple gets grated across one of the boulders out at josh and for protection I boulder in a latex body suit, what can I say, I'm a child of the 90s, you never know where that chalk left on the rocks came from when Michael Flatley sees that picture he's going to want his shirt back

I am an exceptional boulderer, and my nipples are steely hard. Because I use my entire blood supply to quench my rippling forearms and abs, my head gets really cold. I usually wear my balaclava, scarf, and a fleece lined beanie, but my upper body puts out so much heat that a shirt, especially a synthetic fabric would just melt. Therefore I have to go shirtless. For pants, I alternate between baggy jeans for training (more resistance), but when I compete, I always wear the thong. Couldn't resist. -Tom

i have this [i:c6d59ecd02]reeeally[/i:c6d59ecd02] cute top. it's periwinkle with these little flowers embroidered in lavender ... sort of an off-the-shoulder thing. oh, it's nothing, really -- i picked it up at a thift store -- but it is just [i:c6d59ecd02]the cutest thing[/i:c6d59ecd02]! anyway, i usually wear [i:c6d59ecd02]that[/i:c6d59ecd02] with a pair pink tap pants and this purple scrunchie thingie to keep my hair back. oh, wait -- i don't have any hair. oh, well ... it doesn't really matter. i've never bouldered.

For bouldering, I usually wear what I was wearing while climbing during the daytime. Why change clothes just to climb on small rocks. So to answer the question, since Josh has totally torn up my prana and metolius pants (one I paid 40% for the other I found) I now wear carhartts. That and a very unpretentious white fruit of the loom t shirt with the obligatory black stripe across the kidney area from hip belaying, and the worn right shoulder area from packing material at work (construction) and the usual holes from who knows what. Can't really be a tshirt and jeans guy when all your white tshirts have holes and don't look laundered (probably aren't). TRADitionally yours, Cali Dirtbag

They are the only pants that my thighs fit in. All those other companies make clothes for anorexic spurt climbers. Carhartts are the only ones I can move my legs in. TRADitionally yours, Cali Dirtbag

I've been wearing the same shorts for 4 years now, and I've recently discovered two things about them. One, they're prana (after reading people complain about boulderers that wear prana shorts, I decided to check) and two, apparently you can see my junk while I'm climbing. The first time someone told me this, I thought it was just a joke. But since then, I've been told by at least three other people, all in a semi-joking manner (I thought). Looks like I'm going to have to get new shorts. The worst part is, I'm really scared I'm going to be browsing the photos one day here, and see an upshort shot of me bouldering. That would really suck. (Unless I got rated a 10... :D ) And yes, for those of you out there that hate boulderers, I'll give you more ammo. I ALWAYS climb shirtless. (although I don't wear beanies) Steve
