How many of you are seriously addicted to this site?? I know I am on it at least like 5 times a day now that school is out... even when I have school, dance, climbing, and time with my friends every day, I am on the site like 2 times!! just curious!

100% absolutely , undeniably NO. There is no way that I am addicted to this site. I am not in denial. Actually I used to be here a lot more, but summer work and school got in the way so now I only check it once in a while. I'm on now cause its xmas break and there is nothing else to do.

I know I am addicted. This is basically the only site I go on. I'll put anywhere from hour to 8 hours a day on this site with no problem. I am always reading articles, reading little this and that, trying to soak up all the info that I can take. I enjoy my little Mod job on this site. People might flame me for this but oh well. I enjoy working with the staff, some great people. I duno what I would do if this site went down for good.

In reply to: *sigh* OK, maybe I am addicted... but only a little. I don't need help! I could quit if I wanted! I couldn't. Another prime example...I went to a wedding today, 130 miles one way. My mom thought I was going to be too tired to drive another 130 to come home so she thought I was gonna go to my apartment.(apartment is halfway) I actuually did but not for long. I drove back home, got here around midnight or so. Came online and now I'm on rc.com. I'm not addicted, I could quit if I wanted. Pehh, You'd have to pit me to get me off this site. I think the next forum that should be made is AAA for rc.com addicts.

yeah, i admit, i'm quite addicted to this site. After checking all my mails and sutff, i log on and read forums all night until it's time to sleep, of course while chatting with friends on icq or msn. It's a good web to have some fun. It fills my time up when i'm online. But i don't know how long i can be addicted, My finals are on the way, 6 mths time.

I always tell myself, I need to get school work done on the computer. But I always end up here for some reason. I try to stay away, but I'm usually on RC.com every free moment. I think the AAA for RC.com would be usefull. Hi: My name is Greg. I'm an RC.com aholic.

there's nothing that makes work time go quicker than hitting refresh button on the forums page and looking stupidly at the screen waiting for replies to your posts... **** it's probably bad cause being in the NorthEast i probably spend four times as much time on the site than actually climbing. If only the rating/number of visits per day made you a better climber, what we would all do on the rocks

Yup, I concur, addicted, I'll get out of bed whilst going for a 3 am pee just to check if anything new and/or controversial has been posted. Sometimes I think it's in the hope that if I keep reading this site I'll pick something worthwhile up via osmosis, and will keep doing so. Unless of course my concentration of knowledge is higher than this site. That means I'm getting stupider by the minute! Ahhhh!!!!!!!!!!! (Somehow from that response I don't think there's any chance of that occuring though....)

I'm curious what a AAA for rc.comaholics would do. Free roadside assistance when the van you've been sleeping in breaks down?

OK,OK, but WHY are you addicted? It's certainly not for the elevated level of literature available in the forums. I admit I have a mild case of rc-itis (check in 2-3 times a day at work). And it's like watching a train wreck. There is an abundance of abysmal spray in the forums, 92.5% of the writing is attrocious, many posters obviously have anger management issues and love to tee off on innocent people, prima donnas run rampant through the forums, and I see many of the same questions come up again and again ("What kind of shoes/rope/pro/jacket/underwear should I buy?") On the plus side, there is some good beta and I like the pics. So give a little thought: what is it that draws you back?

I am falling behind on deadlines, and my boss catches me on the site at least 3 times a day.... Its the closest thing I have to climbing - I can live vicariously through the ones who get to climb because they don't live here
