One: We just plain like the photos. No need to call us lemmings or other condescending terms just because you don't agree with our views.

Two: The argument that he's using the rockclimbing.com server to host photos for his own benefit is flawed on EVERY layer. First, he runs his own internet site, with far more photos then he posts on here. In fact the photos that are posted here are also posted on his site, so any argument claiming that he is just using rockclimbing.com for the webspace is complete crap. Second, it is of no advantage to him - he could just keep his photos too himself or on print and share them with friends, or (and this is quite plausible) he could attempt to sell them, or instead, as he chooses, he shares them with the masses who, as all the replies and the numerous votes are evidence towards, like them! He's doing us a favor, and most appreciate it!

Third: You have a photo of the mileage on your subaru attached to your posts. The photo is 6771 bytes. Assuming that it was attached to every one of your 1319 posts (the latest in this thread at the time of my posting), which I'm not sure it is, that would mean you have used up 8930949 bytes of rockclimbing.com's server. After taking a quick average file size of a bunch of oarangeoverhangs photos I deterermined there size to be about 1228054 bytes. Multiplied by the 372 photos that makes 456836088 bytes. And what does all this mean? It means that you're signature photo, that certainly adds far less to this site then does even the worst of oarangeoverhangs photos in terms of quality climbing imagery, takes up HALF of what oarangeoverhangs 372 photos take up. Who's the hypocrite now??? And that doesn't even take into account the size of your numerous photos which as you have openly admitted do not measure up to much of oarangeoverhangs photography. Why are you taking up rockclimbing.com space with them and your signature then??? If oarangeoverhangs photography shouldn't be on here then yours certainly shouldn't be.

Will

Crankingclimber:
1. People from PA are a bunch of gumbies and don't know what they are talking about.
2. My sig pic is not hosted on the rc.com server.
3. If there was any part of that you did not understand then read number one again.

Crankingclimber-

I hate to poke holes in your arguement but the pic in his sig is a link and is not stored to the server every time he makes a post. When the page loads is reconizes that there is a link to an image and fetches that image from where ever it is stored. If it isnt hosted on Rc.com then in reality the only space it is taking up is that of where it is stored and the space it takes up in the cache of your browser.

And Tusconalex... sterotyping is something that only ignoant people do... are you willing to admit that your ignorant?

It is not a stereotype if it's true.

tucsonalex -

That's not really a fair attack. I'm from PA, do you know me? I learned to climb all over the place, from the new river gorge to boone, to HP40. Why does it matter that I'm from PA? I just happen to be from there, that doesn't have any bearing on what I've learned about climbing or how I apply it. What you said is a stereotype and is wrong.

Do a search for posts by scubasnyder and you'll see why. If they didn't make me laugh so much I would almost feel sorry for climbers from PA.

Jody? Yeah, his were great, but Jut has some stellar composition. More that just spectacular scenery, Juts stood out because they were essence-capturing.
