I was just curious if anyone else had pictures of their favorite crags on their computer desktop, or if it's just me.

http://www.fs.fed.us/gpnf/volcanocams/msh/images/mshvolcanocam.jpg Mt. St. Helens webcam. Like looking out the window from time to time. It changes hourly with the weather and viewing conditions, and considering the recent tectonic activity, it's really only a matter of time. Right now it's clouded in. A few days ago there were icicles hanging down in front of the camera. At night it's blacked out, but sometimes you can see a dim glow in the crater. All the fun of camping on Johnston Ridge without the mortal danger.

I have about a dozen that I swap around fairly often. They are a set of topos that I have climbed (or plan to) and pics from previous climbs.

My wallpaper is a guy on a red Buell XB12R doing a wheelie looking straight into the camera on one of those famous California canyon roads. Although I bet the rock behind him is climbable, but i can't tell because it's blurred. Edit: my background has changed to a picture of a guy slacklining across the Lost Arrow Spire gap

I have a nice pic of the Galaxy-class Star Trek Enterprise NCC-1701-D first launched in 2363 from Starfleet's Utopia Planitia Fleet Yards orbiting Mars and placed under the command of Captain Jean-Luc-Picard. The ship was Destroyed in 2371 during a mission to prevent a deranged scientist from destroying the Veridian system. If you take into account the anti-time future created by the Q continuum, the ship remained in service untill at least 2395 Hey, some trekies climb ya know!

Gotta sweet pic of me leading out the start of the second pitch of Igor Unchained at The Needles. Beautiful picture with a startling blue sky and that cool yellow/orange lichen on perfect granite.

I usually get bored after a few days, so I tend to rotate between pictures of various snow-capped mountains that require breathing apparatuses and computer generated images of starships from Star Trek. Yeah thats right, STAR TREK! I'm all ready to go boulder some asteroids! Get 'er done!

Mine's a picture of me silhouetted against the sky taken from one of the lookouts in Yosemite. I switch it fairly often with other pictures from verious outdoor expeditions. Almost entirely pictures that I have taken. Some of them are even in focus and of cool stuff.

In reply to: edge - wish I could tell you first-hand! the belgian site wasn't specific but judging from these other Grand Jorasse pics: looks like you named it. I was pretty sure it was. The walker Spur (prominent left-of-central ridge in the foreground of original shot) was the one that got away when I was there last.

I did have a climbing pic on there, and then I replaced it with a picture of John Petrucci's Signature Gold Custom OCL JP guitar. Four, single coil pickups placed dually for hummbucking action and a floyd-rose tremelo system...not to mention 24 frets of harmonic goodness!! :D :D
