On May 12th Ryan Nelson and Jared Ogden returned to the Hallucinogen Wall in the Black Canyon of the Gunnison (site or thier contraversial drytool/free ascent last year) and posted a new speed record for the line at 8 hours 59 minutes. That bests the previous record (Doak & Griebel, 23 hours 39 minutes) by more than 14 hours!!!

i dunno what it is about that route... but it seams like a couple of weeks ago i started thinking about it becoming an objective, and now every time i turn around i see it mentioned somewhere.....

I'd been eyeing the first 1 day ascent of this wall for a year...was planning on this fall...then I got beat too it....TWICE!!!
I kind'a figured this wall would be going fast soon.
What with most of the anchors having at least 1 good bolt(now), alot of the protection bolts being replaced, and with all the recon activity going on...it was bound to happen.
I'll bet Ammon and the boys could go sub 6 hours.....
