Been looking at the forums and I've seen a lot of talk about building home gyms. My question: does anyone have boulders on their home property? I'd like to see what climbing some lucky people have just outside their doors (and I'd like something to dream about at night). :D

on a similar note, there was a thread a while ago which had a boulder that was inside the person's house. i've often wondered if climbers who are building a house ever get the landscape contractor to import some boulders, so that there's some climbing in the yard, etc.

In reply to: Not quite on my property but a 2min. bike ride with pad and I have access to approx. 65 boulder probs. A creek strewn with large blue schist boulders. I feel truly blessed. Ahhh, stream boulders. Nothing like a little mank to make you fingers sweat. Almost as good as salt covered ocean boulders

http://www.rockclimbing.com/...p.cgi?Detailed=55952 This is me on the boulder right in my front yard. After more or less teaching myself to climb on it, I began to realize how lucky I am to have a good sized, choss-free granite boulder 100 feet from my front door.

In reply to: Just out of curiosity what is mank? Mank is short for manky. Just scroll your mouse over the underlined word for an authentic rc.com definition. Skinny
