I would like to know where I can find the outline for the different types of competitions there are and what the rules are for each one. Please let me know.

I would like to put one one, but I can't find anything on how to conduct one.

You should try going to a couple competitions in your area if there are any. See how other people run theirs and what you like/don't like about it.

A non official format very popular and easy to have on gyms is "bouldering festival". Most people I know that are just average climbers like it cause they can climb all day and not be eliminated in the first round.

Usually someone sets many problems in the gym, each has a grade and a score. If you on-sight (or flash it) it you get full score. Eeach of yours attempt to a red point takes x% or fixed amount from maximum score for that problem. Maximum attempts is can be defined or not. You only get the points when (if) you red point

In the end of the day you add the scores of each red point. Who ever get the highest score wins.

It is fun, it is a comp but a social event at the same time. You can see others attempting. In fact those I participated the comp feeling wasn't much in the air, people would cheer for and help the competition.
