Seems kinda low contrast, almost HDR like. Not bad, not great. Of course it's better than any of my climbing shots in the last 2 years so.... Edit: I couldn't figure out how to get the pic on this forum. Also, don't forget to rate and comment the actual photo.

Well, It has its weaknesses compositionally, and the colourization leaves something to be desired, but I think it's worth more than 2/5. Then again, I guess that's what you get for pandering for votes.

I think it would be much better without all the manipulation. Looks like you photo shopped it. A good shot, but I'd like to see the original. hosh.

But then after you said that, i then relized it was the wrong thing to say. My bad .

Colors : cold, almost sad, but why not. Light : overexpo on the chalked hand. Contrast : OK for me. Composition : I don't like when I can't see the feet of a boulderer. Is he really climbing? You get what I mean. Focus : focusing on the eyes looking at a hold is classic. Not bad, not good, just classic. Plenty of these pics here. Subject : the NF beanie is distracting. Is the beanie necessary : short hair, short pants, why a beanie? Is the climber really holding the pincher with the right hand? I'm surprised that the index doesn't stick to the rock.

His hand is definitely overexposed, and the De-saturation is a little distracting, as is the crop. The viewpoint is interesting, and i like the direct line of sight, but i wish there was a more dynamic pose/gesture. Its a solid photo, but a little generic.

The de-saturation effect doesn't bother me as much as it usually does. But I rarely see that effect executed well anyway. I don't think it works here primarily because it seems incongruent with the guy's facial expression- it looks like he's about to laugh, which doesn't work with the cold, moody tones. Also, are those boxer shorts I see?
