would it be possible to fly into either atlanta or chattanooga solo, hitch-hike or bus close to the boulders, camp, and climb for two weeks? or is this impossible? OR, how does HORSEPENS 40 compare? easier access? cheaper? better? all i can think of is escaping the horozontal rain in squamish...

Camping at Rocktown is quite easy. There are camping sites in the woods all around the parkinglot for the boulders. From there it is a 1/2 mile hike in to the boulders. You probably would not be able to hire a comercial ride up to Pigeon Mountain. If you made it to the city of La Fayette, GA, however, I would be happy to drive you up the mountain. PM me for more info. tim

Make sure you have a warm sleeping bag or a tent. Camped at RockTown this past weekend and it was around 15 degrees on the mountain. Hope all works out for you... that area is fantastic. Peace
