I'm organizing a kids climbing competition in Flagstaff and I need a little help. Most of the kids aren't great climbers, so I want to word the comp so that it isn't daunting to them, but still conveys the fact that it is a competition. The routes are all going to be easy (hardest route will probably be a 5.9 that I expect no one to climb, kids are 12 and under and not climbers), but we have about 30-40 kids that come in often that do enjoy climbing and are interested in climbing with other kids. Any tips or info would be great. I have almost everything together, just looking for some last minute advice and for suggestions for the name of the comp (I don't think kids or the parents are going to know that the Gravity Brawl is a climbing competition...).

Vertical Rainbow Happy Time. Or on a serious note, vertical kids challenge-VKC Comps can always use a good acronym, and the word "challenge" wont scare away yuppy parents.

I had some crummy ideas like "Growing Up" and "Big Ups". But my best idea isn't really appropriate, but still I like it: Get Higher Than You Parents!

Personally, my favorite comp name ever was Rock Wars (this was ABS10 regionals at Planet Rock in Ann Arbor, by the way). Everything about the comp was Star Wars themed, too, which was just awesome.

I apologize again, I'm still stuck on inappropriate names. Latest one: Mother's Jugs and Speed.
