Depending on production volume, the initial cost will be about the same as a high-end motorcycle or car. As volume increases this will drop to be similar to a mid-range motorcycle or car.

The Martin Jetpack complies with the FAA Part 103 Ultralight Regulations. The Ultralight class does not require an FAA recognised pilot's license.

No regulations means you can watch all the football games you want without buying a ticket?

#1 It seems like shin guards/knee pads would be more useful than the helmet.

#2 It needs lasers.

Ha! Machine guns were my first thought, but I thought that was too old school for such a silly device.

I like the idea of lasers and gatling guns though...

That is awesome, but I just wouldn't feel safe without at least something protecting my legs.

if you come down tilted to far forward you are probably screwed.

All the vids on youtube of people flying this thing is either indoors, or some roughians holding it down.

No one is really flying the crap out it.

No one is hitting that 8000 foot ceiling.

Well, they really wouldn't appreciate it otherwise.

The real question is do you heckle them off, or wait & hope they'll fall.

I'm going to have to go with heckle... I'm way to impatient to wait for a fall
