Howdy. I'm new to ice climbing (top roped a couple times and really enjoyed it) and I'm looking at getting more involved this winter. I just purchased a pair of previously owned but never used koflach paras and I'm interested in what more experienced opinions have to say. I paid less than half of what these things retail so I snatched them up. What I'm looking for is info on performance, durability, etc. I have been rock climbing for 6-7 years so its about time I moved onto ice.

as long as they fit you well then have a blast. the beauty of plastic is that it can be bent and you can put thermofit liners in them. they should do fine for most iceclimbing, if/when you get into harder mixed routes a leather boot with more flex will come in handy. cheers!
