Tell me what you think about professional climbers and do you think you could ever be there? I hope some day not to be known as this awesome climber but i would like to gain enough clout to be sponsered for epeditions. So all you who know the steps...Please spill

Don't know any personally. Don't read the mags anymore, so I'm not really up on who the hot dogs are. Except for my gold Steph Davis Chalk Bag I don't care one whit for what professional climbers endorse, do or say. I really don't. Try it. Its really rather liberating. DMT

Is it that they don't care: About you? Being famous? Being Climbers? please I am so waiting breathlessly to hear, because I don't make a move without knowing what the elites are doing. Please, PLEASE TELL ME SO I CAN BE LIKE THEM!!!!!! I want to not care like they do! On another level....what can I do to acheive the rating of T15 ?? Is it something I can work on? I mean I have been sending some T2 and T3's but I get shut out on the T5's and higher. Is there some bludgeoning of the brain, or mentally weakening exercises I can do to troll more effectively and piss off more people??

to get sponcered, you have to have a beautiful trophy girlfriend that looks pouty all the time, and an entourage of wannabees to keep the boombox going and remind you of how cool you are / look. Also, a tricked out climbing van w/ all the stickers and custom paint job, and a proper spew /spray vocabulary to back it all up.

What he meant is that he'd like to be the type of person who didn't read the magazines. But he's addicted to it all. rec.climbing, rc.com, R&I, Climbing. He's a lifer. Always will be. Hungry for anything to do with climbing. The in-the-know UnaBonger

I know a couple of hard-climbing sponsered climbers; they just seem to always want to climb harder. Climb more, get stronger, focus, breath, etc., and you could become a world class climber. Maybe call up a company to mention your success in climbing competitively, and you'll get a sponser. you just have to be good! Don't ever quit climbing even if you struggle on 5.0 though

Read the article "Will the Real Doctor Doom Please Stand Up?" in John Sherman's Sherman Exposed. It'll teach you everything you need to and do. 8)

My pet "Spunky" This cat has climbed some damn hard climbs. Along the line of 5.99x\y\z. He has some serious crampons. Four of them to be exact. With five front points per crampon. No ropes, no nothing. Just 9 lives is all he takes with him. Dang good boulderer too.

I've had several expeditions sponsored. However, I don't believe that EMS knew they were sponsoring me.
