I've got a quick question for you Aid fellers. I just got a few BD Peckers and I was wondering if I should swage a cable to them like the RURP's or if you typically put a biner through the hole. The cable would make your reach less..but might give you better leverage? I don't know? What do you guys do?

Place a Pecker in a flaring crack or groove and try to clip it with a biner.

Use #3 cable. There is a little info in my #2 copperhead thread but I should extrapolate on that a bit when I get to it... (article)

Webbing works fine and is more flexible than wire...I don't prefer to fall on hooks anyway

Just an update, BD is now offering their pecker in three different sizes and they are coming pre-swagged this season. Check it out: http://www.bdel.com/gear/rock/pecker.php

Very cool. It’s about time. Hmmm… the dual tie-off/cable hole design looks familiar…

But why #2 cable??? Why, why, why???????
