Does anyone has this problem too?: You are already logged in, you're replying in a topic and by the time you submit it, you're logged out and the topic isn't posted. I hate it, because you have to retype the whole thing!

Don't spend 10 minutes writing your post. Alternately, write your post somewhere else (notepad, wordpad, word (where you can spellcheck them, Hi froggy)) - and then paste them into the submit box. - d.

This happens to me a lot when I'm at home with my 56K dial-up modem. The pages take so long to load, read and respond that I get logged off. Does anyone know what the time-out is set to?

Last time I checked it was 15mins... not sure now Do what Sauron was saying...write your post in notepad, word, etc. then post. Just cut-'n-paste! Matt

at work I have a T1 line and I still get booted if I stay idle for awhile ... actually doing work stuff. It must be set to 10 or 15 minutes.

That happened to me too. My option now is to type the message using a notepad or word, and then I do a copy-paste. I think that the sistem logs us out automatically after 10-15 minutes.......that's my guess [ This Message was edited by: duracellbunny on 2002-07-09 07:40 ]

This has happened to me also. Sauron's advice is the best, but if you didn't happen to type your post in another program (like I'm doing now) you still don't have to re-write your post. If you hit the submit button and you get the 'logon page' just hit the 'back' button on your browser, copy the post you have just written, logon again, then go to the post page and just paste what you had written back into the message body. I'm not sure if this works for all browser configurations, but it works for me. Is not life a hundred times too short for us to bore ourselves? -FN
