I'm not religious, but I must applaud you on your blatant rudeness and lack of social sense. Congratulations!

I will say, being a Christian Youth Pastor, I would agree that the "Bible thumpers" can be quite abnoxious. Perhaps they're the ones who lack social sense...? Not intending to hijack the thread... if you have questions or comments about my opinion, pm me, don't ruin this guy's post. Thanks. hosh.

So I'm sure a satanic mentor or maybe a Koran thumper would do.

And who can blame him? I mean the last thing I want, when in an epic situation stuck in a snow cave with no food or fuel, is for my partner to mumble amongst chattering teeth "So have you accepted Chirst in to your heart?" Don't push your religion on me, I have my own. However, I do think he meant bible thumpers, and not christians in general. Just my non-deductible 2 pennies. Steve

Interesting... First, has anyone PM'd this gu to climb with him? Second, why isn't anyone complaining or taking offense to his exclusion of pansies? Seems to me that non-bible thimpers are taking issue, why not non-pansies? Sheesh, just let this guy find a climbing partner...

Maybe cause the exclusion of pansies is self explanitory, where as the exclusion of "Bible Thumpers" is not. I also think the only responses that seem as if the poster has taken offense is lizard0fthetrail's, csproul's, and your third one. Hyjack over.

In reply to: Maybe cause the exclusion of pansies is self explanitory, where as the exclusion of "Bible Thumpers" is not. I tend to disagree - I actually disliked the pansy part more  (and I don't think anyone who really knows me would call me a pansy)... But then, I can't go home without being told that I'm going to hell because I haven't accepted Jesus as my personal savior and being given Christian-centered books for X-Mas despite my vocal objections to Christianity (and gifts in general)... Apparently, I have issues w/ Bible Thumpers. :D

I just find the irony...entertaining. He claims to be easy to get along with, yet is unwavering exclusion of Bible thumpers and pansies seem to suggest otherwise. Troll perhaps? You can't make such a post and not expect a little flaming, kind of like the poor kid who started the thread, "the climbing look." That one had 'flame' written all over it!
