In a pub in Killarney my mother-in-law asks the waitress if she can have a Smithwiser. You should have seen the waitress she must have peed her pants she was laughing so hard. Its so much fun to be an American in Europe, they expect so little from us. Off to Peru tomorrow. I bet we'll just blend right in... Yeah, right.

Back in college, we used to go to the local bar and get a hickory burger and a Guinness. Damn what a meal.

When I was in Dublin we decided to do the tour of the Guiness factory. We went up to the ticket booth and saw the price. 20 Euros. At that point, the equivalent of 20 bucks. Wow. But, the lady told us, we could get access to the sky top bar and lounge and a free pint of Guiness. For $20. We discussed, then went to the store and bought some souvenirs, then walked to the closest pub, where we had many a pint for much less than $20. I have never regretted that decision either. K.

I dunno, I had enough fun at the Guinness hop store (you can't actually go into the factory) to go back twice in my 3-day visit to Dublin. Maybe I'm just a sucker for informational videos :) -Joe
