http://cbw.cz/...sloclanku=2005032104 Not that I ever get to Prague, but one of the owners is a distant relative, Andrej Chrastina. Any U.S. gyms with bars? "the perfect combination – you climb, then you sit down and have a beer.”

I have often thought that it would be nice to have something like that in the U.S. However, I suspect that liability issues here would pretty much prohibit such an enterprise from ever getting off the ground. Curt

I studied in Praha a year ago last fall and spent quite a bit of time in the BB. What a great combination: climbing then beers. Hell, beers then climbing. Whenever the gym gets too crowded, you grab yourself a seat in the bar, throw a few back and wait for people to clear out. Common problem with the Boulder Bar, and Czech climbing gyms in general is that they all smell really bad. Worst B.O. ever. But I guess that's the trade off for a climbing gym in stumbling distance, ya know?

El Chorro Gorge in southern Spain also has a bar with a small bouldering wall in it. Of course, after a hard day of beautiful limestone sport routes, there's hardly a need to climb on a stupid woody.
