Took my first Yoga class last night and I can honestly say that it will be a part of my life from now on. I can't even explain how I felt after. It was something that I have never experienced. For the first time ever I felt relaxed and stress free. Not to mention how good my body felt. HOOKED!!

I bought "Yoga Mind and Body". I lent it to a friend so I don`t have the author`s name. It`s a good book for beginners and intermediates. It has sections on breathing, meditating and eating properly. Good value for the dollar.

what is the reason that you are looking to get into yoga? Is it for the flexiblility reason. I would suggest that you get the "power yoga" book. I was taking a class that dealt with this form of yoga. It is very demanding, but it is a good time. My instructor's instructor wrote this book. It has very good illustrations. Here is the link... http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/0020583516/qid=1026318567/sr=2-3/ref=sr_2_3/002-2515710-5411225 Have fun!!! Drew
