Hey, so im looking to pick up a new tent and sleeping bag. nothing hardcore, just something to keep me warm and dry. I can pick up both at Rei's anniversary sale for around 200, or do i wait till a week after the sale and see if i can get lucky at the Scratch and Dent?

get them at the aniversary sale, and then go and see if there is something at the scratch and dent. If there is, just return the (preferably unused) items, if not keep what you got.

Hey,
You just missed out on this deal, but go here (http://www.steepandcheap.com/) every day to see what is on sale. The item is only available for 24 hours then it changes. I got 12 Black Diamond Positron quickdraws for 104.00 with shipping a few days ago. They were on sale for $8.30 each. I almost jumped on todays item, but decided to hold off, then I thought why not and now it is sold out. I should have jumped.

Steepandcheap is the place. I just got 6 of the positron draws from there and was considering todays item before it sold out. Its tempting some nights to stay up another hour (usually 3am here on the east coast) to see what the new item of the day is. Just got those draws from UPS today :D
