Hey
Anyone interested in doing a highline in Squamish(or vancouver area) this summer? Anyone know of a highline in the area?
I heard someone set up a line over the north gulley last summer but that it was 140' and nobody was able to walk it.
I have not done any highlining yet but I'm eager to give it a try.
I was looking at the gulley between Rock On and the Opel. I have no idea how far this gap is but it looked like it might be a possible setup, I haven't been up there in a few years, anyone have an idea how big this gap is?

Hey Dave,
This is Karl from Vancouver, once again I'm out of town but I'm still keen to try a high line this summer although I don't have any rigging experience either.
Spanning the south gulley to the opal wall looks pretty damn far, I think much farther then the north gulley highline. By the way do you know who set that one up?
I've also got my eye on low line over water at light house park that’s about 60 to 80 feet. Some hot day this summer we should head down. Also a 35 foot highline spot over a canyon close to the boulders on the logging road to skypilot (just behind the chief).

I will be in the area around the secound week in June depending on weather, but would definitly be down for some high lining. I got a few lines and some gear but no where near enough personal gear to rig something like this.

I checked out the Zodiac - North summit potential this weekend and I'd say its about 100 feet across. The problem is that the North summit is also about 40 feet higher then the Zodiac, making for an difficult setup on the North summit side.
I think the South Gully has some potential though, its not as far as I thought, maybe only 80 to 100 feet.

hey slackattack- are you in town? I've been setting up down at the beach a fair bit lately. Almost back in form, had a 60 line last night and it felt good, not solid but getting there.

I just arrived to Squamish today, and will be staying in the campground under my tarp in the rain, for at least a few days, I brought a couple of lines with me so depending on what gap and length, I do not probally have enough stuff for getting anchors set so if any one else is interested stop by.
