Yup, and won the 100 bucks. Wasn;t hard except i had to go home and get 10 bucks. The first 2 panels were easier and then their was a short dyno because the holds were like 5 feet apart. So i jumped for it and went real quick. I was the only one that day that won. Everyone else waited to long on the wall and got wasted. It was a good investment

thats cool... im not really a climber... i only climb when i visit NC a couple times a year.. but i like to think i have OK climbing skills for not doing it a lot. On this wall, the guy will do it once for you... and yes he did a dyno for the win... the only problem is right before the dyno the last hold is a kind of pinching hold. I think im gonna try anyway, its always in my mall.

Ha. Some friends (strong ones) all found their way to the Fryeburg Fair (Maine) a few years ago... and after they each won the $200 prize, the carnie working the attraction caught onto the vibe, and somewhat coarsely prevented them from any more attempts. So if you go, and win some cash, don't come back with all your buddies in a conga line!

Man, I gotta get out of the sticks, 10$ gives you a chance for 100$?!? I think I've found my calling, with an investment in a few dozen disguises...... Whoa.... I could even turn my Rag into a reality.

I hardly ever go to the mall, but maybe I should go more often. I could use $100 to buy some more gear.

Ours here is set up by the USMC, I believe. You get to the top, then they lower you down and talk to you about joining. Then you go fight some dragon and stand there in your dress blues looking like a badass with a sword you'll never use. What? Oh, no, I've never seen one with money involved. There are enough good boulderers here that the operation would be broke by mid-afternoon.

I wonder if the carnies ever meet up to have coffee, and sit around going "You ever catch a bunch of real climbers trying to hose you by coming in groups and climbing the tower?"

I tried once, when I first started to climb, and got pumped out before hitting the crimper hold. I hope to do it this year though.
