If you were to move anywhere on the west coast, where would you move to? Planning on moving out there this coming fall, need a good city, small or large with a good climbing and music scene. Any ideas? Oh, and I am a boulderer. Thanks people.

I hear there is some good bouldering in Squamish, although it can be expensive to live in Vancouver.

Tahoe area. North or South Lake are both nice. I live in South Lake Tahoe and I have access to Bishop, The Valley, Lovers Leap, Cave Rock (when not closed), Pie Shop, 90' Wall and Dino Rock just to name a few. There is a lot of climbing available within an hour drive of my house. All in all, Tahoe has a lot of snow in the winter and a lot of sun in the summer. Oh yeah, the lake is nice too.

I'm from North Tahoe and the climbing is really great for sport and trad, but i wouldn't say world class for bouldering. Bishop of course has the Buttermilks, happys and sad boulders, the ORG and is close to the valley and the Southern Sierras, but I don't know what the music scene is like.

I was gonna say alaska but thats more alpinism and big huge ol climbs. But as for the music scene although it is *growing* its not that big.

Probably Perth. I like the comforts of urban environments.

Forget Tahoe or BC. SoCal is the place. Tahoe and BC get cold in the winter. I live in LA and we climb year-round. And for music, I don't really need to elaborate on that. I moved out here about 5 years ago from the E, and I don't really want to go back. There are plenty of bouldering areas within the city. Of course, be willing to pay out the ass for rent.
