I just moved to Alaska two days ago, in the Eagle River area. Currently I have no job and no friends. I am dying to get out to go climbing before I work for the rest of my life. How do I go about meeting new people, and finding climbing partners as well as hiking and camping partners. I feel lost here! Kate

Kate, i'm not sure if you tried this already, but do a seach for alaska in the forum threads, this will hopefully give a list of RC.com users in your area that you can contact, good luck. Larry

Join the Mountaineering Club and just get out there and start knocking off every peak in the valleys surrounding ER. Or hang out on the highway or gym to meet sportclimbers. http://www.mcak.org/
