I'm going to be visiting family in the LaCrosse, WI area from June 16 - 20 and was hoping I could get in a day of climbing in the area.
First off, are there any gyms nearby? I figure since the weather can be unpredictible, I would like to have the option of climbing whenever I get the chance regardless of weather.
Secondly, if anyone is up for letting me tag along with them for a half-day or so outside that would be great. I saw that there are some places at Granddad's Bluff or at the Yellow River (IA) that look pretty cool. I prefer sport climbing, but am totally up for trad too. And bouldering would be great as well, but I won't have a crash pad with me. For that matter, I won't have much gear at all...just myself & my harness & shoes.
So if anyone could give me any info, I'd greatly appreciate it and pm me if you're up for some company. :)
