Going to be doing an easy multipitch climb in august with myself and my partner,(both experienced) and two others who aren't so experienced. It'll be important to move as quickly and efficiently as possible. We'll have two ropes, but were considering using half ropes to save on weight (long approach). any ideas how to make that work with 4 people climbing? or just forget the two pounds and take two regular ropes.... thanks

Are you planning to climb as one party of four people or two parties of two? A group of four works well with three ropes, the climbers tied together in a long line. Two parties require nothing special, but two people will have to lead each pitch, possibly slowing things down. I would suggest some (maybe several) practice sessions with the rope handling. Three ropes and four people can make quite a mess at a belay station!!!
