I will be in EDI from August 8 to August 19, so I have a weekend in between that I would like to spend climbing.
Anyone interested?
Apart from that, I'd be grateful for any beta on bouldering areas or gyms that I might be able to reach in the evenings after work.

assuming your talking about edinburgh in scotland youll be pleased to know thare are 2 pretty big gyms called alien rock 1 and alien rock 2 the latter being devoted to bouldering i think, plus the worlds largest indoor climbing gym is in Ratho near edinburgh, some routes require the use of a 60 m rope, there are natural rock features also all under one roof.

just giving this topic a little push, as I've now arrived in Edinburgh (Scotland).
Would be happy to go rockclimbing in the area on the weekend of August 13th.
I'm staying at the Heriot Watt University campus and have neither car nor rope but an urgent need to climb on real rocks ;-)
