Hello

I might be visiting Nova Scotia Between July 30 and August 8 so I was thinking if there is anybody that could show me around. I'm mostly interested in Trad Climbing.
I have all the toys just need a partner/partners to show me around.
I would also like to see the Ocean and Cape Breton Highlands National Park.

Thanks To All

P.S. you might notice that I have a thread going in US East, But I would much prefer to do the above.

Good Day

dude, I don't really know anyone who posts on this board that actually still lives in NS. Try http://www.climbeasterncanada.com

My mother is looking to fly me home next weekend (I grew outside of Halifax), and most of the developed climbing is withing and hour's of Halifax. I'll contact you if I am heading out, I'd love to spend at least half a day at at least one crag (my favorite crag, Sorrow's End, is very close to my parent's house) and I can show you around.

If I'm not headed out then I do own the guide book if you want to take a peak.

Also I'd like to add that when we did the drive from St. Catharines to Halifax a couple of years ago it took 22hours. I've also done the drive from Halifax to outside Boston: almost 12 hours. Halifax to Bangor Maine: 8 hours.

It just doesn't look that far away on a map....but it is :(

Krillen - we went through Canada, and while we bypassed the traffic in Toronto, we did get slowed down in Montreal.

Mapquest is telling me it takes 18hr 44min from TO to Hali, so add an extra hour and a half from St. Catharines, Montreal traffic and the fact that I was driving with my mother and she likes to stop now and then for food rather than grabbing food and eating in the car.

Maybe it wasn't quite 22 hours....but it did take us 20+

Have fun in the Gunks. Looks like there isn't anything avaliable for flights to send me back to NS anyway :(. Maybe I'll get back there at the start of September.
