I'm looking for a gym partner during the week either at PG Santa Clara or Touchstone Concord. I can also escape from work during the week to climb outdoors either at Castle Rock or Diablo. Once a month I head to places further away... next trip to the Grotto and at the end of the month, I'm heading to Yosemite. This is an open offer for someone to teach, someone to learn from, both, or how about the creation of a group. I just created a yahoo group in case anyone is interested... ncalclimbers@yahoogroups.com.

^There is always Pinnacles if you want longer leads.

I go to Santa Clara University and I know I'll probably be up for heading to Pinnacles in a month when I'm back at school.

I'm available weekends and some weekdays (flexible work schedule). I go to castle area most often because of the proximity, but love to get up to tuolumne or the valley when i get the opportunity. I like trad, bouldering, some bolt clippin'... i have a pad and a rack. my car will make it to local spots but probably not up the sierras.
I'm also looking for a partner to hit up some easy/moderate alpine stuff sometime between the 25th and the middle of september.
Living in Santa Cruz right now... message away.

I shan't be there/here/wherever for long, but if anyone wants a climbing partner on the 24th-26th Sept I will be kicking my heels between SFO and Yosemite.

I lead Hard Very Severe in the UK, so I guess I should in the 5.9-5.10 range in the US. I'm happy to do anything easier too :D

Anyone heading to the Sierra this weekend? If you're planning to do some easier longer routes and need a partner, I'd like to come along. To give you an idea of where I'm getting at, I climbed Royal Arches, Cathedral, Tenaya & Banner Peak (East Corner) Interested in Conness or Matthes Crest, but open to suggestions. Also, if the ice couloirs are in, that would be a posibility too (but I can only follow). I have rack/rope but no car.

good thread, Mike and thanks!!!

contact Lalamur if you want to do the Yosemite thing over Labor Day weekend- he's getting a group from SoCal together.

I would be up for Stinson Beach one week. I'm stuck coastside in August, and then in Hawaii in September. too bad - hahah

If anyone wants to hit up Castle for a couple of routes on weekdays, like after 5 I'm game, or I could do Castle or Pinnacles most weekends.

Usual spiel, I'm safe, haven't killed anyone yet. Doin' this around 11 years, sport, toprope, just starting trad again (experienced, just been awhile) so easy leads or following is cool. Not really into the whole gym thing unless it's raining. Safe Newbs welcome, I just want to get out and climb.

Hello from a Bay area gym rat trying to get out to the crag. I've got wheels, rope, some protection, & have taken 1 or 2 outdoor classes. Any outdoor folks willing to help a newbie out? Thanks!

Looking for people interested in top roping bay area stuff. My usual partners are out of town til end of September. I usually climb routes up to 5.9 outdoors and have a rope and all the gear to setup anchors. Usually Castle Rock, but also Mt. Diablo and Mt. Tam. Who's up for it?!

Some of the messages here have been posted twice by different people. Why don't you pm eachother and go climb. I got a job, so my climbing is restricted to traversing my office and topping out at my managers office..hehe...
Im Free Tuesday though and am up for some easy trad... How about it rockrat511? Don't have to trad... TR and sport are welcome. I'll PM you as well...=)

Here is what im thinking... How many of you would be up to climb on Tuesday? We can set up some sort of outing and meet up at ...say...Blue Rock Shoot Cafe...and wreak havoc on the local crags. Post if you're interested.

Feline?
Rock rat?
Motorkid?
exposeur?
cmac?
anybody else?

Hi,

I will be at Redwood Shores for work from Fri, Aug 26 til Sat, Sep 10 and I was hoping to do some climbing or at least do a hike in Yosemite - weekends only unfortunately.

If anyone needs a belay slave or hiking partner during my time in SF please let me know (meltaxa AT gmail dot com). I can sport climb 5.10's comfortably.

I'm staying at Belmont, SF which I think is near an indoor gym which might prove handy after work.

Rgds,
--Dennis
