Okay, so there I was bored one rainy day about a week ago, and decided to count the climbing/mountains/rescue type mistakes in these movies. I did not include many many other errors not related to the mountains or climbing/rescue. Also counted were the -marginally- possible but highly ridiculous things.....
Cliffhanger: 95, and I took it a little easy with repeated errors like magically changing geography during the same scenes.
Vertical Limit: 204, and I gave this movie no quarter. Every absurdity was a check mark, no matter how repeated (everytime someone sprinted at 8000+ meters, etc.)
So there you have it.
By the way, these two movies are curiously still in the "climbing" portion of my video collection........
