It seems that JPL has designed a robot climber that they call lemur. http://www.newscientist.com/article.ns?id=dn5090 Its only a matter of time before it gets sponsored.

Now it just needs to learn how to rappel back down. Wouldn't that be a surprise when they realize there's no-where to go when it gets to the top of some martian pinnacle. I wonder how it'd handle a dyno.
