Supergaiters and crampons...

Can't Post

It seems my feet are ALWAYS cold, regardless of my boots. I have looked into some insulated Supergaiters, like the Wildline Insulated or OR Brooks Ranger gaiters to perhaps give me that little bit more I need to keep my feet warm.

Unfortunately, none of my local stores stock them, so I'd have to mail-order them. My concern is fitting my crampons onto my boots with those gaiters on. I have a pair of semi-auto Black Diamond Sabretooth crampons that look like they would work as I don't need to use the front welt on my boots. However, I am not sure about the rear clip and getting it to engage the welt on my boot.

I'd like to use them for ice climbing, and it would eb a real bear of my crampon popped on vertical ice. Does anyone have any experience with using crampons and supergaiters?
