Congrats Robb. The big 5 0 and you're a climber. Very cool. If you intend to stay active, ask for a case of Blue Emu and an industrial sized bottle of Ibuprofen. Hopefully Viagra is not on your list. Ask for a new rope.... or is your's relatively unused? The thing about being a climber is you never get all the stuff. There's always some thing you don't have. These major milestones tend to make people more generous. Exploit it, brutha. Happy Birthday!!! :D

Turning 50 didn't hurt at all! AARP will soon be sending you all their information, your peers start calling you "Sir" and for some magical reason, you are no longer a threat to the testosterone toting youths! But, do watch for those surprise parties! You won't recover as fast as you use to! If people do insist on presents, ask for one item for every year you've been around. Even 50 biners would be sweet! Welcome to the over 50 club! Alan

Happy Birthday. I'll be joining you in assisted living soon. Actually, on my 50th I plan to receive a Ducati sport-touring bike, something like the current ST4. Not that I've yet told my GF that she's responsible for this.

Rob, nothing will make your day quite like the act of giving. So give yourself a gift by giving me a pink Tri-cam. 8^)
