When we got to our second bottle of wine this Saturday night, my friend mentioned an idea of his to ski from Estes Park through RMNP and the Indian Peaks, all the way down to Nederland. The next day I started looking over some maps and found a ski trail route from Wild Basin down to Eldora, while only occasionally getting close to a road. It's about 30 miles total. Taking on the Estes park leg would be tough though. Maybe you'd go down Glacier Gorge and over a pass to wild basin.
Anyhow, has anyone had a similar adventure or idea?
