Has anyone ever tried fitting the fang attachment to the spike on the Rage? And if so, did it work? And if it worked, any tips on installing it? Thanks for your time... Ryan

doing so would require substantial modification of the Viper Fang, if this is what you are referring to. You will have to get creative to turn the Rage into a leashless tool. Leashless tools for climbing ice, IMHO, are highly over-rated. They excell on anything up to WI3+, but for mortal men to use on WI4 and up requires a lot of dedication and time spent climbing. Where leashless tools do excell is in the mixed game, which is really nothing more than sport climbing for ice afficionados. If you are going to play in this game, get the right tools for the job.

I'm working on modifying my rages. I ruled out the fangs and I'm using a metal bracket, hose clamp, and tape wrap. Going to try them out on ice in a couple of weeks. If you send me your email I'll send you pictures and instructions. I got the plans from other guy and willing to share.

^^^This type of mod has been done by several people for the Cobra as well, with most reports being favorable. I'd like to check out your blue-prints, if you don't mind sending me a link.
