Here's the deal:

I'll be slightly north of little rock Arkansas in early January.
I have a week and i wanna get a couple days in,
i climb trad (5.8 lead) but i might want to squeeze in a half day of sport.
where are the best places for me to go for one day trips.

Any REAL help would be appreciated.

Jamestown is a great crag located just south of Batesville.
Not too far from North Little Rock I suppose, it would be a great Saturday trip

check out Chenal Mtn. also, which is located in Little Rock and also Little Rock Climbing Center, a very fun gym with very nice people.

you'll like Arkansas stone a lot, if you get the time, go check out NW Arkansas, there are some amazing crags up here where you could spend years

Jamaica 8^)

For sport, Horseshoe Canyon Ranch is the undisputed best. About 300 bolted routes from 5.5 to 5.13(14 maybe, not that it matters to me). There is also some decent trad interspersed. For primarily trad check out Sams Throne. Both are pretty close together and not to far from Little Rock. Upside: Horseshoe has a nice neat map and route list available to print (www.climbhcr.com). Downside: Sams is a little difficult to find yourself around without a guide. Actually... very hard. Any questions just PM me.
