Wow when did they make this switch? It looks like that whole chain of sites is now under a new umbrella.

I hope the databases are still intact.

That site rocks! Look out RC.com you have competition.

It's very user friendly and much more intuitive than the previous sites.

Yeah I checked out Climbing Jtree the other day for the first time since they made the merger and couldn't figure out what was going on at first...I'm a little slow I guess

Site looks awesome, I like it.

all the databases are intact. its way, way easier for the admins to move stuff around now, so things are getting organized properly now too.

The website gives high level info on what happened to Climbingboulder.com (acquired by Mountain Project). See http://www.mountainproject.com/scripts/about.php for "details".

Basically the founder of climbingboulder.com decided to pursue an MBA degree. He's a 2nd year classmate of mine at Georgetown. While not intellectually that challenging, b-school does give enough reading and group project assignments to keep us pretty busy - probably too busy for a fulltime job of managing a website or running an organization. I don't know much about the new website, but Myke (the original founder) is a pretty decent dude.

Nice work on the switch. It looks really good. I like the featured route thing btw...

Yeah, I dig the new site!!
As the forums become more popular I'll be spending more time there.
I like the route database and descriptions.
